View Full Version : add Hak.5 to revision 3 shows

Hi can someone add Hak.5 to the shows?

That's a point tho... revision 3 should own a directory of all their shows which we pull from? So we don't have to do anything whenever anyone adds a new show?

Just a thought.

Hak5 is under Internet Videos/Video Podcasts/Science and Technology:)

hmmm... I added it to My Feeds in the web site but couldn't/can't find My Feeds on boxee.

I did find Hak.5 where you said, but I thought that must have been what I added, and it magically categorised it... Oh well.

Nevertheless, Hak.5 is now a rev3 show and should be under the rev3 channel.

I just took a look at hackermedia.org (mentioned in this weeks hak.5) It's a nice aggregator of video/audio feeds.

Do you think if we can get all these sites (rev3, cnn, cnet, hackermedia, etc.) to host an opml file of their shows, that boxee could check that file every so often and update itself?

There is, of course, the added complexity of channels releasing the same show in multiple formats/qualities. Channels releasing both audio only podcasts and video podcasts. But surely removing the burden of keeping track of the shows (and just keeping track of the channels) is a good thing.

You could say that, to be on boxee, you need to publish an opml file?
