View Full Version : Scanning Completely Broken? Last Scan: 8/4/74

Last night my Box managed to scan and identify my network files without issue. I played a file that crashed the box, so I turned it off and went to bed.

This morning, I can't get my file sources to scan. It shows a Last Scan of 8/4/74 currently, but that changes. I've seen a couple dates in '69 too. I deleted my sources, and used the Advanced settings to clear the database, and then readded the sources. The problem returned. If I try to force a scan, eventually it'll indicate that it's scanning and show that 0 files were found.

Anyone else have this problem? What can I do? Factory restore, I guess.

I had a similar problem, due to the box crashing on me.

I did a reset... so, turn off the box, hold the power button while turning it on for 5-8 seconds, and select reset from the menu. After that, I was able to add my sources back in and it was able to scan them fine. No problems since.

I figured. Ok, I'll give that a try. It's been acting wonky since it crashed, so I guess that's the next logical step. Thanks!

As a note for anyone else reading this, I could manually play files using the Browse feature, so the network was up and running fine.
