According to the blog, we have Vudu coming next week and Netflix possibly by the end of January, but what of Hulu Plus? Wasn't this one the items promised by the end of the year as well? Would really like to see this more than I would Vudu. Anyone heard any updates?

No, no date was ever announced for Hulu+, only that it would be coming and that Boxee is working on it

If you click on anything "Hulu" in the BBox, a window pops up from Hulu saying... "Hello - We notice that you are trying to access Hulu from your Boxee Box. It's not available, but we are working hard to bring our Hulu Plus subscription service to Boxee Box. Stay tuned for update"

There's no time frame referrenced, but at least this message is coming from "Hulu" themselves, confirming Hulu Plus is being worked on

I bought a sony SMP-N100 from costco for about $100.00 does netflix, vudu, hulu plus, youtube, AMAzon on demand , crackle etc.......It has limited codec support and struggles with DNLA (with anything higher than 640x480 res). for now I am using this for internet streaming and boxee box for internal files. Eventually when Boxee gets their **** together I will move the little sony up to the bedroom.

God, I love it when Junior Members dish crap on Team Boxee... you can tell it's in complete ignorance to the fact that he said it on their forums... it's like they have no idea who they are talking to, lol!

First off, your hardware from Sony is the thing that "needs to get it's *** together" not Boxee. Boxee didn't make your POS from Sony and software doesn't make hardware any faster for the most part.

Before you go popping off at the mouth about how much Boxee needs to get it's **** together, make sure you know what you are talking about first. The problems you are experiencing are related to your Sony, not Boxee. Geez! Man, if I was on Team Boxee... I would have a hard time tolerating some of the trolls who dwell in these forums. Cut it out people! It's not beneficial to be negative all the time, especially when it's only a problem you are having and not everyone else... not cool to blame Boxee for your shortcomings. Boxee doesn't get better when you insult it, it gets better when the devs make it better so chill out peeps!

look, I love my boxee box as much as the next guy, but the fact remains that it was marketed with features that it simply doesn't have. Nor does it operate in a "stable" fashion. I am all about supporting the developers, but when you start charging for something, you can't promise features and then not deliver...

My box works fine for what I need it for, but if I bought it so I could watch netfilx, hulu + etc. I would be pissed too...

And you, sir, completely missed the point of the post. The poster was pointing out that right now he has to keep using the Sony because it does stuff the Boxee doesn't do. When the Boxee Box is fully functional, he won't need to keep the Sony in his living room any more.

THIS IS EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS on Boxee Box. I feel it was/is misrepresented and considering how Boxee treats its customers with NO anouncements, or should I say LIES about their anouncements. Skips promised timelines all the while partying it up at Comdex spouting the tune of how their sales were more than expected.....

all in all Boxee is NOT interested in their customers and more concerned about the "Future"

Its sad, frustrating and down right dishonest the way boxee represented thier product and its functions....

I bought a beta box based on what they represented in their ads, It stated Netflix, hulu, vudu etc. If I had known that they were lying that these were not in there I would not have bought them. and to have them say netflix befor dec 31 then without ANY anouncement......

Bah Ive said enough...

Boxee scamed me for money for false advertising period.

go ahead all u boxee fanbuys, spam away..... but in the end everything I stated is true!

they scammed your money so bad that u kept it... didn't return it and still post on there board.

your right about boxee not caring about their customers.. I was on the boxee blog, asked avner a couple of questions and he responded right back, many others have emailed him and had replies.

the only thing i agree with what u and others who post on this theme is about bad pr. Over the last month they promised things they shouldn't/couldn't deliver. I don't think they will make that stupid mistake again.

It has VUDU too?

The vudu delay is Vudu fault as they were working on vudu app 2.0 which boxee has. how do I know, because I just got an e- mail from vudu telling me that this was the reason.

I also k ow that Netflix is working on a new interface for their app. Basically they want
To do away with their DVD delivery service and just stick with streaming. in order tom do this they have to update their app. To do 1080p properly and do Dolby plus, in other words be like vudu. When boxee box gets Netflix it will have the latest and greatest Netflix app.

hulu on the other hand is also working to upgrade their app., it is make sure we watch the ads bad hulu do not need hulu.

MKe sense of this post

I translate that to mean, "We're trying to hash out a deal with Boxee that may or may not happen, depending on the financial details." NOT that they are merely working out the technical details as we speak.

well I do have a Roku box and a 360 and ps3 and blu ray and they ALL play netflix, not my point. My point is this company ran ads with netflix hulu vudu etc as being on the boxee box. Now PLEASE forgive me for thinking that the boxee box would be the same boxee that is/was on my computers. Anyway, I bought these boxes to do as it was advertised, so i wouldnt have to "power up" so much and i wouldnt have to switch to this box for this and this one for that. The boxee was advertised to do what i wanted.

But, I first opened the box, oh suprise the guys at Foxconn or wherever forgot to put in a remote. wonderful. anyway returned - new box.... oh wait, this isnt the interface of my computers boxee.... hmmm oh wait, wheres netflix? hulu... etc? hmmm ill check the forums... oh it seems others are having the same problems.... oh boxee responds... we're working on it... urra new build urra option to more local other than forced internet programs... uura... oh ya net flix befor end of year.... oh and see our post of us partying... hmmm I seem upset a bit... but end of year ok... tick tick tick... no anouncement .... tiick tick.... hmmm jan 1st no netflix..... oh I see they are partying in vegas smoozing etc. hmmm still no anouncements or netflix....

etc. etc... etc...

Just give me what you advertised.... it shouldnt have been represented the way it was.
