Do you have any firewall or anti-virus software that might be interfering? Do you have a proxy configured in Boxee (http://boxee.zendesk.com/entries/192003-settings-network)?

it has to do with the python scripts, any app that uses python to scrap for videos is getting this error, I can access justin tv channels using rss , something changed on my pc that prevented python from making socket connection

Did you manage to resolve this issue? I have the exact same problem, I have uninstalled hotspot shield, cain, sabnzbd, and log me in. I can't think of anything else that could be preventing python scripts from accessing the internet. To rule out router issues I connected it directly to the modem and it's still unresolved. I've searched for what could prevent python scripts from accessing the network and can't find anything. These issues are on a desktop with Windows7 using the latest stable release of Boxee available for official download. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: This is affecting connectivity for Navi-x, Live-TV, Justin.TV, opensubtitles.org, and tvrename/thetvdb.

Just thought I'd add, I was having the same problem, but I did a search through the forums, and found about StreamFree.tv, and their plugin for Justin is working great for me now. I haven't been keeping up since I hadn't been having problems, but StreamFree adds some nice things I didn't have before.
