As you are all aware the CPU usage on a site like Hulu is huge even on a Core 2 Macbook Pro. But the boxee plugin works better is there anyway to use it in the browser or get more hardware decoding for Flash?

are you saying that hulu (flash) works better in boxee?

Well in Boxee my cpu usage for the specific flash plugin was 34% yet if you goto the hulu site through any browser its roughly 90%. I hate the fans spooling up to 6000RPM trying to cool things down. Under 50% the fans stay at 2000RPM.

I have had a similar experience...I can't for the life of me figure out why this would happen.

this is all really odd, as boxee just uses adobe's flash... actually, boxee wraps flash in sdl, so it should actually add more overhead.

i would just be happy, if i were you two. :)

short: boxee's flash is adobe's flash.

You are right swapping it with the browsers Flash plugin makes no difference and they look the same file. How do you get the HD stream from Hulu? I have tried in my profile on Hulu but only works through the browser.

change it in your hulu account settings:
hulu.com > profile > privacy and settings > video settings
