both are in a semi-working state (as people that follow me have noticed :D)

most of the server-side work is done, but we have to make proper skins for both--which will take a while.

so please help us pick the next app to release:

also, there is another poll about the type of tv/screen you run boxee on.
this will help us in our skin development.

me too... i'm trying to con riegersn into releasing it soon... by the time he's done, GT is gonna be it's own operating system. (seriously, he adds like 30 new features a day... the guy is nuts.)

release both of them..:)

actually, both are in working order... we just need to make nice skins.

@everyone:
openfilm seems to be winning for first release... i think that's what we're gonna do... openfilm has some really nice high-quality content. plus some of the movies are truly amazing.

if you're following me, you already saw this--in my recommendations--if not, check out this movie for an example of the content:

we're thinking of making the skin for openfilm similar to the iplayer one (but 100% our own ;)). what does everyone think?

actually, international content is one of our unspoken goals. :)

to my knowledge. all of our plugins should work in all locals.

that's intersting; I was not familiar with OpenFilm. Thanks for the link :)

Speaking of App skins, MTV Music is... well... it's "white"....

Ouch. That hurts. Especially at night when the lights are off and my eyes are ready for bed (but my brain isn't). CNN is just as bad.

I want dark backgrounds in all apps!!

Is that possible?

Thanks

Never heard of either site, but both look promising, especially openfilm (that's what I voted for ) :)

Neil - iPlayer-esque skin would be good.

Agree with one of the previous posters about keeping the skins dark though - much easier on the eyes, esp with the lights low/off

actually, riegersn gets the final say on graphic design... he has a better eye than me. (much, much, much better.)

all kidding aside, it will be dark... bot not black like the iplayer. :)

i love the iplaye skin... the solid black just doesn't translate well to how openfilm's site looks.

their color pallet is: gray, charcoal, and light blue.
