Thought I'd start a thread about this as it's the only thing stopping me from sacking Vista Media Center altogether.

I want to use my mce remote with boxee via eventghost. I followed the instructions in this thread (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=3816) but can't get it to work. The replacement driver didn't seem to work in eventghost and the XBMC plugin wasn't found and I couldn't find instructions on how to install it.

Anyone else having the same problem or got this working in vista 32? Any solutions/alternatives to eventghost? Is there an eta on an eventserver being included into boxee?

you can try this xbmc thread http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=36936

Thanks for your reply. There seems to be lots of threads of information about various solutions and alternatives. I'll see if I can figure it out.

I did read that there is a built in solution for xbmc, an eventserver or something? Is it worth me waiting for this to be ported to boxee?

EDIT:

OK, I now know what the problem was. I got what I thought was the latest version of eventghost, but what I needed was the latest beta NIGHTLY version of the program. I had already installed EG and it told me I had the latest versh so I thought I was good to go.

Excuse my ignorance. I hope this helps someone else.
