If I setup a repository and I have an app on there that is 1.0 and then I update the app, and change the index files so that its 1.1, what happens on the client's side? Will boxee tell them there is an update or will they have to manually uninstall and re-install?

When the user goes to the app box, boxee highlights the updated app. When user clicks a dialog box asks if he wants to update.

Hmm... so I should only have to change the index.xml file and make sure there is a new zip file uploaded to download with a -1.1 instead of -1.0?

I have tried this and boxee doesnt do anything. It doesnt show up in New Applications, and when I look at it in My Applications it doesnt say anything about an update. I'm running 9.11 on OS X.

When you go to App Box -> My Applications there will be an indicator that an upgrade exists. The user can click to upgrade.
