Could somebody give me a example of how to use this? I'm somewhat confused from reading the RSS documentation.

I'm trying to implement swfobject 2.0 JS located here:

http://groups.google.com/group/swfobject

Welcome to the world of Boxee documentation :P .

I think you might be confused. You don't use JS in Boxee to embed. You don't need that SWFObject.

You are using the JS as you would use functions with the actionscript ExternalInterface object. Do some searching on ExternalInterface and you'll get the idea of what the js file is for.

hey,
indeed i wish we had more time to put into documenting...
the js is just to describe controls on a flash player for boxee to know how to handle it (not needed at first stage).
to play an embedded flash video in web page just link to the web page url.

I'm going to assume that boxee cannot take control of an embedded player.

Yes, it can. It can control the position of a virtual mouse on the screen and make it click. Check out the js that the hulu feeds app uses.
