Default Cannot get Boxee Box to connect to my Apple G5 shared folders

Hello-

I just set up my Boxee Box for the first time.

I had a little trouble getting it to connect to my wireless network, but after a call to D-Link tech support, we somehow got it working.

It downloaded the newest firmware and I began to try to set up the local sharing.

My setup is as follows
- Apple Powermac G5 running OSX 10.5.8 hardwired into Apple Airport Extreme base station
- Apple Macbook ( intel ) running 10.6 wirelessly connected to home network
- Boxee Box wirelessly connected to home network

I have Setup file sharing on both computers the exact same way
- file sharing on
- smb sharing checked
- moved folders i wish to share into the shared folders area

The Boxee Box recoginzed the shared folders on the Macbook and I have that setup with no problems.

However, it DOES "see" the G5 on the network, but when I try to add it as a source it gives me an error. "That operation is not permitted."

I cannot figure this out for the life of me.

Is this a Power PC versus an Intel issue?
Is this a 10.5 versus a 10.6 issue?
Is this a Boxee Box issue?

any ideas or help is appreciated.

Thank you
