Talking Lost Hope.

The whole reason I started this thread was to try and get the attention of the Boxee Team. I just wanted to know something; anything at all as to the future of OS versions of Boxee.

It would be nice to have an honest forthcoming opinion from the inside as to where we stand in the light of things at this point? Just throw us a bone, at least let us know if Boxee OS versions are part of Boxee's future.

The only thing that makes me question it's future is the promise of a message that was never came! Please let us know what you intended on telling the community last month concerning future Updates!

I can surely understand if it's a resource issue, or future focus changes.

Here's hoping you read this..

Bugs,

Boxee has heard the loud and persistent cry from you and many others asking for some communication - any communication - on the topic of the OS versions.

Their silence is their answer. How much more plain does it need to be?

Not saying I like it one bit, but it very clearly is what it is.

Not that I'm putting a lot of faith in this but there's this:

I wish they'd just do a better job of releasing the source and then distributions could package it themselves. There is a whole other thread that explains how to compile it easily. Except, the browser/flash bits are not included, so that makes it totally lame.

I'll believe it when I see it, frankly. I've unfortunately learned not to believe a word of what Andrew or Avner say when it comes to anything other than the Box.

Yeah. I'll remain cautiously optimistic. Not getting my hopes up.

Well, it came a little too late for me...

Since I ended up having to upgrade to kit that could handle hdmi, I went ahead and jumped ship to Apple TV. Currently watching the Tor@Bos game in HD, without any of the skips and buffering problems that Boxee had.

I've gone ahead and unlinked my MLB account from Boxee, will be buying my rare HD film rental from iTunes and will also be using CrunchyRoll via airplay in the future, so am no longer a 'paying customer' for Boxee.

Boxee 1.0 for windows will need to do something pretty spectacular to draw me back.
