Default ESPN360 - Watch live sports online!

More/less this is a placeholder and a notice that I've started work on an ESPN360 app. More details to come and tester requests. I have to span development on two different machines with this app as my personal ISP (Time Warner Cable ) doesn't support ESPN360, however I do have access to another machine that isn't restricted.

Barring any unforeseen issues this app shouldn't take all that long. The main issue will be making sure that their web player which requires a plugin install cooperates well with boxee.

Right now there's a hold up as I'm trying to get in touch with some people at ESPN/ESPN360 in an effort to streamline this as much as possible. Normally I'd just throw something together, but their player makes use of some DRM software that has the potential of making things a pain.

Without their help I think things could get slightly complicated. I'll keep y'all posted. Anyone got some inside connections at ESPN drop me a private message, lol.

i am calling on my fellow boxee users to help the community. if anyone in your family has any of the required isps for espn360 and you know they will never use espn360 i am asking you to make accounts for fellow boxee users. i can currently make 2 accounts, i have allready offered 1 to dpk so i can do 1 for sure if anyone needs it. for those who can make some for others all you need is an isp that espn accepts and a free yahoo email account. just make the account using the email and then it will pop up the first time you log in and ask if you want to join your espn account "remote access" so you can view espn360 from anywhere just click that link and you now have an account for someone who needs one. for those that get an account all you need to do is log in and you can now watch anything on espn360. you do have to remember to log in when you want to use it. if you just leave it auto logged it wont work after 1 day. you will have to log out then back in and it will work again.
i am going to test this weekend to see if since my girlfriend has att dsl and the ip changes daily, to see if i can make multible accounts everytime the isp changes. if this works i will be able to help out tons of you with accounts.

Errggghhh... back and forth with ESPN Customer Care over this. Not looking like an official anything will result from this. Trying to be as extremely cordial as possible. I really want to do this with their support.

Basically trying to just reaffirm with them that this would not circumvent any of their existing ISP affiliation requirements. You'd still need to be a valid 360 account holder to do anything. The waiting game continues.

is there any way you could get this to work with boxee? http://player.snfextra.nbcsports.com/player.htm
it shows the sunday night football games and gives you the option to change the camera angle. thought it would be a cool idea to be able to change the camera with a push of your remote

Cox will be adding ESPN360 on Sept 30th, i'm sure this will open up the beta testing group to many more users. I'd like to test this also if/when it becomes available.
