Default [Release] playanything

Have issues deciding want to watch? Want a more 'tv' experience than having to click on a new everytime one ends?

PlayAnything pulls the files from your Boxee Database and makes random playlists of either movies, tv shows, or music.

Use . to skip forward and , to skip back between tracks.

Yes, this means there is now a 'shuffle' mode to play music in Boxee.

I can't get this to work on my Mac. It seems to have a problem importing the SQLite module. This is in my log file:

Steven, try extractijng http://www.fuzzthed.com/beta/sqlite.zip in your com.fuzzthed.playanything directory and see if that helps. Kinda clueless here and now way to test it.

Thanks for that. I did that and it partly worked. It was able to load the library, but could not open the database. I believe this is because the temporary directory returned by mc.GetTempDir() in Boxee on the Mac is /tmp/boxee and is not a sub-directory of the UserData directory which results in it trying to use a database path of /tmp/boxee/../Database/boxee_catalog.db

An alternative is to use mc.GetAppDir() which returns the application's directory. It worked if I changed the code to get the database path like this:
Code:
app = mc.GetApp()
database =  app.GetAppDir() + os.sep + os.pardir + os.sep + os.pardir + os.sep + "Database" + os.sep + "boxee_catalog.db"
That should, hopefully, work on all platforms as all apps are located under UserData

Nice! I tried playing music, but after the set time the power saving mode of Boxee turned off the screen, which signalled the TV to turn off the speakers.

That's more of a Boxee problem than a problem with this app. :P

I hear ya though, annoying. Could just turn the ss off.

Go me for shot in the dark. Didnt know if that would work or not. I'll wrap up these changes and release 1.1
