I merged your new thread into this existing Announcement thread, as the stream issues associated with movies and tv show files is detailed here.

It comes down to network and server loads that limits the bandwidth and thus slow buffer and stream performance. This is most common after 8pm Eastern time USA and through the night. Also, more popular videos also hog bandwidth and then lag occurs.

Check back on some of the first few pages as I and others bring this up.

The alt is to Luv the video and log into your Boxee.tv account and see the item in your viewed log and click it to down load it. But it too can take a looooooong time depending upon server demand.
Thats fine sorry about that. When I log into boxee.tv on my comp or tv i do not see a download button anywhere. I have looked because thats what I originally wanted to do but no luck

Long-time Boxee user; first-time Navi-X user (and am embarrassed for not trying it earlier <g>).

At the main Navi-X menu, however, I am unable to open "Navi-X Networks Portal," as I get an "Error: Cannot Open File" message (looks like it's unsuccessfully trying to point to a docs.google.com file).

I have no problem getting into Navi-Xtreme Media Portal and find plenty there to keep me busy.

Should I be able to access the Navi-X Networks Portal?

Default Some NAVI-X features are broken

It looks as though the NAVI-X Media Portal is broken - when trying to access it I get the 'Error Can't open file' pop up and I have to click on 'OK' in the error pop up twice before it will close --- and the back button is broke again -either hitting the 'backspace' key or right-clicking on the mouse kicks you out of V/X and back to the My Apps page

And on the 'start' page there's a message saying to go to the navi-x.org site for more details that I don't recall being there before - see screenshot

Let me know if you need a log file Bill
EDit - the < button up in the top left of N/X still works for going 'back'

now THIS i LOVE! I looked over some of the screenshots, and i'm blown away! I just can't believe that it took a Dev to develop this, and not the Boxee team. I can't wait to install it and give it a whirl...but, it all looks very promising!

Keep up the GREAT work!

Bill - I tried v1.1 in the Boxee App v0.9.23.15885 on an i7 W7 x64 PC and Youtube still crashes Boxee

And on the BBox v1.1 doesn't seem to have changed much - YouTube still crashes the BBox also - and loading content/movies still seems to take a long time - but maybe this is inherant to the BBox, compared to loading content in the Boxee app on an i7 W7 PC - although some content does load quicker than others (I usually use Justme4u2c as a test base)

Here's a couple others I forgot to mention...
Under 'Browse Content'/"Movie Genres - JimQode's Movie List" even though most 'Genre' choices has many listed 'items' - when choosing any of them all I get is a "Add Filter" result and a long dashed line ie...."------------" and choosing the add filter brings up an empty screen - and clicking on the "----------" popps up a window saying...(Playlist format error "is not a valid type")

A lot of Lispiff's Smoke Shop is broken or the content that's listed by date that does work is outdated (like the news)

Okay Gary,

I have Navi-X v1.1 and Boxee v0.9.23.15885 on a Dell Optiplex GX520 with Windows 7 and it does NOT crash Boxee when I use anything in the YouTube section.

Rodejo tells me it may be an issue with your 1.1 and to try deleting it then reinstalling from the repository. Without being able to replicate this issue, it's kind of hard to suggest anything else. Try this and let me know if you get good results please.

As for JimQode's Genre's, it is being fixed here soon. Something broke in his playlist and he will address is asap I'm sure. Will drop him a note. As for the dashes, that's a "list_note" item and is meant as a divider and not an item of playback. You will find list notes throughout Navi-X that do this... nothing I can do about this unfortunately. Some people use them and they are not compatible in Boxee necessarily.

As for LitSpliff, nothing I can do about this. He's been with Navi-X even longer than me so I wouldn't expect to see his section relocated anytime soon.
