I think the Boxee Box interface is second to none and it is very quick as well. For me it can be frustrating since the audio problem is the one thing that is preventing it from becoming an exceptional box.
Support is great, improvements occur often as well. And the software continues to evolve which is also a good thing.
I agree as well. But I've stopped recommending the Boxee Box and even stopped those that were on the fence to buy one. It is unacceptable to advertise a product that it cannot literally do.

Can we get this sticked? We need to keep hammering on Boxee for getting this fixed. It's not like it's a random bug that props up with a firmware release. This has been like this since BB inception and is utterly irresponsible and plain out lying to the customer for an advertised piece that does not work.

If you want, you could always create a new issue for HD audio dropouts and then also mention that you read about http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-9348 but can't read/comment/vote on it because it's not public available. Maybe they'll open up the first one.

No, we need to get this information out on the popular tech blogs like engadget, etc. Posting on jira does nothing. Emailing Marcel also does nothing. I emailed him specifically about the audio dropouts and asked him about the rumors that it can't be fixed because it's a hardware problem with the CE4100 and he didn't deny it and he didn't say it would be fixed. I think I'll drop an email to our friends at the "HDTV and Home Theater Podcast".

The only way to light a fire under their you-know-what is to get this information more widely distributed and not contained within jira or this forum.

Awesome. Go for it.

(Again, I was responding to the "keeping hammering Boxee" comment).

That's a wasted effort, they just close other bug reports as duplicates. I have emailed Avner and others and only got a response from Tom Sella who said they were making an effort to fix it.

I don't want an effort, I want someone working on this continuously until it's fixed.

This should be stickied. Maybe they will be shamed into hiring the people they need to get this fixed.

The JIRA ticket darci posted has been closed as a duplicate of:

http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-7914

this is the only active ticket for the dropouts, it's public and it lists all of the many other closed tickets which duplicate this.

COMMENT, VOTE and post LOGS and FILES there!!!
