    Default Boxee for ipad removed?

    Hello

I got some question on the Swedish forum www.sweboxee.se/forum about the app from Boxee: Boxee for Ipad.
The app is gone from itunes and no information can be found.

I saw someone post an answer from Boxee Support :
"After questioning Boxee support, it appears that Boxee has removed the iPad app from the App Store "in order to support current products".

Translation: Boxee TV is the new hotness and the iPad app could dampen sales.

This is disappointing to say the least as Boxee removed a working app.
    "
    __________

Is this true? Is it only in Sweden or is it world wide?Have Boxee found another way to disappoint their customer?

(sorry for my bad English, hope you still can understand me)
    Kind regards
    Kevin

That does appear to be the case (in the US store) though I would disagree with your conclusion.

    Thumbs down

    Hello,

It seems like the app have been removed from more stores than the one in the US.
Also on the website there's no mention of the app for iPad either the link for download the streamer.

Also I have to add that since iOS 6 there haven't been any update for fix the issues that appear (server not detected, no hdmi output...)

I guess the they just set this as ended, I don't understand why a moderator have no idea about

Btw, I had to register and my answer is that my favorite streamer is PlexAPP.

Because this moderator is a volunteer and not an actual employee of Boxee and doesn't know these things

I love Plex on the iPad (and just about everywhere else) too

Honestly, the only advantage of the Boxee iPad app was access to Friends and Watch Later queues... for local media streaming, Plex or AirVideo are the way to go.

Angry Boxee Media Manager not available anymore

I did contact Boxee Support with this simple question : Were can I download Boxee Media Manager for my Mac.
    Thank you.

Here is the reply I got : The Boxee Media Manager and iPad app have been removed from our site and from the iTunes store. Both free downloads were removed to focus on creating updated platforms that work with newer Boxee devices. Thanks, Kosta

Here's a tought. How about giving support to your costumers who have spent 200$ to purchase your Boxee Box.

You only need to give us access to the older Boxee Media Manager. Do you believe I will be inclined to buy your Boxee TV gizmo, knowing the kind of after sales service I got with the Boxee Box?

Guess I will choose to do business with another company in the future.

No, it was only ever available for the iPad and is no longer available at all.
