Description

I had added the repository http://dir.fuzzthed.com to Boxee. This was originally called "Boxee Repo".
The name was recently changed to "Fuzzthed's Third-Party Repository" to avoid confusion, but in Boxee it still had the old name.
I removed the repository and re-added it and the name showed as the new name, however on restarting Boxee it changed back to "Boxee Repo" again. I even tried doing this:

1) Removed repository
2) Exited Boxee
3) Deleted my repositories.xml file
4) Started Boxee
5) Re-added repository.

But, even after doing this it changes back to the old name after restarting.
It seems like the settings stored on the server are not being updated with the new name.

user bububu wrote:
i had setup a custom repository on my local server ans used dyndns.
after it completely works, i uploaded it to a live-server and CORRECT ALL links in the repo-files.
now, when i add the new repo-link it always fails.
the log says it get the repository.xml from the right new server, but also some statements from the old dyndns-target exists.
i tryed to delete the usercache, reinstall boxee, and test it with an different boxee-user.

ps: i think you can verify the problem by adding my repo: http://tv.sanduhrgucker.de/repository
your debug-logfile may show you that boxee try to connect my old (lokal) repo "http://pchotfix.dyndns.org/repository"
as you can see on the repository-files
http://tv.sanduhrgucker.de/repository/repository.xml
http://tv.sanduhrgucker.de/repository/index.xml
http://tv.sanduhrgucker.de/repository/download/...

there are no links to the old repo inside.

bubu,
I am still not sure that I fully understand your problem.
Did you try to remove the repository and add it again to your account?
and after doing so, the url is still pointing to http://pchotfix.dyndns.org/ instead of pointing to http://tv.sanduhrgucker.de ?

hi rafael, many thanks for supoort, that stupid thing make me crazy.

yes, i tryed many times to add and remove, and flush the local cache-dirs.
its still pointing to the old http://pchotfix.dyndns.org instead of pointing to http://tv.sanduhrgucker.de, when i add the repo !
i also tryed as an fresh new other boxee-user.
can you verify/confirm the problem? just take a look to your debug-logfile when adding the right repo http://tv.sanduhrgucker.de/repository

maybe it depence on the reposity-id. maybe boxee store/cache some information about the repository ONLINE. the problem then would be how to flush that cache.
can you confirm that posibility?

Resolved, a new service was introduced - refreshes public repositories periodically.
Local repositories - ones that boxee's servers can not access (for example: http://localhost/my-test-repo) will not refresh - and their names will be set to their url to avoid confusion.
