Boxee sleep only shuts down the display.
Boxee sleep not shut off the fans and also accessing local network resources.
When the boxee box is in 'sleep' the system fans are still acitve.
This is annoying, as sleep should turn these off. I dont want to turn it off everytime i am not using the system, as it takes a while to boot.

In addition to going into a true low power state while sleeping it would be great if you could wake the Boxee Box from sleep using both the Boxee remote and an IR remote via a USB receiver.

I can do this with my PC in S3 sleep, waking it with a Harmony remote using an MCE2 USB receiver.

Edit: Just read the Anandtech review and it seems the 4100 used by the Boxee Box won't support suspend to ram, at least until Intel come to the party or new hardware is released. That's a shame. Is it possible to power the box off but leave the USB powered so we can turn it on with an IR remote?

FYI, you can turn the Boxee Box on from cold by holding the back button on the remote :)

If you turn the Boxee Box off as opposed to sleep, do you not have to rebuild your thumbnail cache upon every reboot? That is really the only reason I leave it in sleep as opposed to off...
