Hi, Can you please try renaming the folders which contain the VIDEO_TS directories according to this and try again :

Renaming 100+ files using this convention resulted in only one being picked up and identified by Boxee. Everything else just shows up as individual VOBs in "unidentified files"

No my DVD files are on a USB drive. I moved the vob files to the /movie name directory and it just picked 1 of the vob files so it only plays part of the movie.

I've tried both. /moviename/video_ts and just /moviename vob and ifo file in each time.

note that when you are following these steps All of your resolved content and settings will be lost. this is not mandatory but it will help us investigate your issue.
===================================================================================================================
follow these steps:
go into recovery console (shutdown the box and hold the power button for 7 seconds) and choose 'Reset All Settings' and apply.
restart the boxee box.
set boxee logs to Debug mode: Settings>System>Advanced>Debug level set to DEBUG
add your dvd folders (according this method: /moviename/video_ts)
wait for boxee to scan the content and than navigate from another computer in your network to http://boxeebox_ip:8080
click on "get latest" (wait for page to refresh) and download the latest 'boxee logs' file, attach this file to this issue.

Thanks

In part of the 'plays everything you have' ethos boxee really should handle /movie name/video_ts/files.ext

I agree with Phat Phreddy. This is basic playback functionality that should be expected. WMC works well with this directory structure.

Agree with Phat and KH. I rip all my DVDs in standard VOB format so they appear identical to that of a DVD. The main difference being they all go under a folder that is titled after the movie. So you would think Iron Man 2/Video_TS/xxx.vob be able to detect it in the "Local Movies" section but it doesn't. But you can access this through Files and it will play just fine. Seems strange that you can get it to work via the network but it can't detect on its own through Local Movies.

Why has this bug-fixing been delayed again?! This is one of the most obvious and annyoing ones affecting many users out there. Moving this to SP4 will again dissapoint users and they are already quite upset about this bug.

For sure Markus. This is extremely annoying that its being delayed as this was my primary reason for purchase. Do I want to go through my entire DVD collection and move, convert, and/or rename my entire movie collection so I can finally see my cover art in Local Movies? I can access this through the FILE section for now, but who really knows when SP4 is going to get some love and get this bug fixed. I hate to say it but I am contemplating my purchase when this basic DVD structure is not included for the Boxee box.
