I have the 2007 TV Show "Life" on my local media store.
Scanning that content gets the files added to the media library as the 2009 TV Show "Life".
Going in to the show and selecting a file, identifying the file as the correct 2007 show drops the file from the 2009 Life entry in the media library, as expected.
What it doesn't do is add the 2007 TV show folder to the media library, so once you have identified all the files correctly, the 2009 folder disappears, but a 2007 folder doesn't appear.

I can get to the files fine via the directory browser, just not through the media library.

The files I am scanning in are named as follows:
    Life - S01E01 - Merit Badge - SD TV.avi

I have tried renaming them to
    Life (2007) - S01E01 - Merit Badge - SD TV.avi
and rescanning, with the same result.

Same issue has appeared now I have Shameless (UK) and Shameless (US).
All shows appear to be identified ok, but there is only one entry in the shows list, which is the UK version. I have to go to files to watch the US version.

Seems Boxee really isn't happy when two different shows have the same name!

Have this issue with Shameless - both UK and US. It identifies the US version and the UK version does not even show up in the unidentified files list. It's like the whole 30+ Gb of files does not even exist. Would appreciate a fix for this

I ran into this problem with shameless today.

I had the US shameless cover and when I went in it had the US episodes as series 1 and then the few UK shows I have as series 8. So I chose to re identify the UK ones and they are now gone. I can find them through files but they aren't in my tv shows section and if I use the seach I just get the 4od online ones.

The files are on my NAS in separate folders.

I am guessing Skins and Being Human would do the same as they now have US versions.

Same problem here with Shameless, and it also just happened to the new show Camelot. This is NOT a minor problem.

I can confirm the same problem occurring with Being Human, as predicted above.

I have "Top Gear" episodes on my computer. at first, Boxee found only a few for the files.
the others were not even in the unidentified part. i renamed all the files "Top.Gear.S##E##"
and even went to the files folders through the Boxee file browser and identified the episodes manually.
I used the apply to similar files option too.
after doing that and rescanned the folders, ALL the top gear files disappeared. even the ones that i saw earlier.
and top gear is no longer listed in the tv shows section.

how can i fix this?

one more thing, i have a couple of TV shows that i try to identify manually, Boxee finds them.
but when i choose the correct show, it shows a massage the it is on able to download the information.
the shows are:
"Sof.Onat.Ha.tapuzim" (i tried "Sof.Onat.Ha-tapuzim" too)
BeMdinat Ha-Yehudim

why cant it get the info, if it finds it?

thanks

i have the same issue with 'Life'. i've also removed and re-added the Life folder between scans and it still won't pick it up and put it on the shows wall even though it's identified correctly in the files menu. i'm wondering if clearing the db and rescanning will fix it since it was id'd incorrectly initially.

my naming convention was Life.S02E01.mkv and is now Life(2007).S02E01.mkv - folder name is Life(2007)
