Description

It'd be great to have a Leave/Stay dialog when exiting an app, similar to what you see when you're exiting a movie. Many times when going "back" in an app I've inadvertently leave the app. This is especially with the YouTube Leanback app when the "back" button doesn't have any use except to leave the app.

A prompt similar to what you get when you click the menu button while watching a video ("Are you sure you want to leave this video?") would help maintain a consistent experience between videos and apps.

I have had the Boxee for a couple of months now and, yes, I know that the menu button doesn't remove the controls from the screen when using an app, but the brain is a funny thing and I find myself often clicking the menu button to do just that. I tend to watch more videos than use apps, so I think its because I use the menu button more in that context that I keep trying to click it expecting the same behavior.

launch youtube leanback and hit 'back', you should get a dialog asking whether you really want to quit the app or not.
