Description

When my Dlink wireless router is plugged into the same LAN as the Boxee Box, the boxee box constantly reboots. It doesn't reboot from the start (there are no popping/flying cubes) but it constantly returns to the green frog start screen, then goes to 'logging in', then usually gets to the start page with the Californian desert/salt-lake movie, then goes back to the big green frog page.

Note, that the Boxee is using wired, not wireless. They are just sharing a LAN. They are configured to use different IP addresses.

I can't work out how to remove upnp on the router, there doesn't seem to be a menu for it even though the help pages mention a page for that.

I tried using ufw to block all traffic between the Boxee box and the router, but it did not help(!?)

Unplugging either the boxee or the router from the wired ethernet stops the rebooting, it is not necessary to switch off the router. Therefore I don't think the interference is over the wireless frequencies. The boxee does not have the password for the wireless router and is configured to used the wired interface.

I will attach a log file.

The router is a DAP-1360 firmware 2.10EN I am using as an access point, not a repeater.

I can send tcpdump files if it helps.

I am running into the same problem. I am using a linksys router, and trying to play a video as well, and when it comes to loading the video, the video will start, and then the boxee box will just reboot...

can you still reproduce this issue using 1.2 or higher?
in newer boxee versions, the upnp client is not running unless you defined a upnp source.
this issues should be resolved in 1.2

in 1.2.2 Boxee UPNP client is not running until used in Network browse or defined at File Sources.
