I dont want any of the social features at all, ever. I want to completely hide it and get the screen real estate back for browsing my own files or internet video sites.
Fri, 28 May 2010 04:38:38 +0300 support.boxee.tv/forums/117565-social-networking/posts.rss:117565:43972:289579 kelly gibbs http://support.boxee.tv/entries/43972-who-is-avner Social Networking Aspects
Boxee is a media center that brings some great social aspects that can add more fun to the media you and your friends watch. Share the media you watch with the friends that are following you. Publish to Boxee, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Friendfeed or Google Buzz. You can Share anything you can play in Boxee (that Boxee can find online) with your friends. You can also type a custom message whenever you share something.

Boxee also supports bringing in Feeds from friends you follow on Twitter, Facebook and Google Buzz, as well as Boxee. If you have this set up, then whenever your friends share media with you it will show up in the Feed section on the Home Screen. See Settings > Personal > Feeds for more information.
Thu, 27 May 2010 00:54:10 +0300 support.boxee.tv/forums/117565-social-networking/posts.rss:117565:182532 Boxee Help http://support.boxee.tv/entries/182532-social-networking-aspects "How do I follow other Boxee users?" in Social networking - comment added by Sphank y
Ditto.
Fri, 21 May 2010 04:41:05 +0300 support.boxee.tv/forums/117565-social-networking/posts.rss:117565:46721:283533 Sphank y http://support.boxee.tv/entries/46721-how-do-i-follow-other-boxee-users "How can I publish my Boxee activity on Twitter?" in Social networking - comment added by QQforU
how do you change the default message that goes out? i'd like to express a little less enthusiasm than "loved" every time. you really have to earn that one.
Sun, 28 Mar 2010 23:06:18 +0300 support.boxee.tv/forums/117565-social-networking/posts.rss:117565:44143:247757 QQforU http://support.boxee.tv/entries/44143-how-can-i-publish-my-boxee-activity-on-twitter "How do I follow other Boxee users?" in Social networking - comment added by Sean Bailey
Ditto, add on Boxee not on site.
Sun, 28 Feb 2010 19:31:51 +0200 support.boxee.tv/forums/117565-social-networking/posts.rss:117565:46721:232939 Sean Bailey http://support.boxee.tv/entries/46721-how-do-i-follow-other-boxee-users "How can I publish my Boxee activity on FriendFeed?" in Social networking - comment added by antonio pavolini well, at least with Vimeo videos, the "like" feature on Boxee generates a useless link like the following: http://bit.ly/brJChF There's this strange "moogaloop.swf" object preventing FriendFeed to link to the actual video page on Vimeo. I don't know how this "gradually pushing away"-thing should work, but for me it's already some weeks and I still get the recommendations, that I don't want. I especially agree with Simon that it is irritating to get recommendations about stuff I can't watch in my country. It's even more irritating to get recommendations from someone, who doesn't share my taste. There are Videos and Music I don't want in my Boxee, not even as a recommendation thubnail.
Wed, 02 Dec 2009 16:16:49 +0200 support.boxee.tv/forums/117565-social-networking/posts.rss:117565:43972:167137 Nachtelf Irokese http://support.boxee.tv/entries/43972-who-is-avner "Who is Avner?" in Social networking - comment added by Jeffrey Blank
Whats itrritating is for a web site to say you can unfollow Avner, but if you do a Search for How to Unfollow Avner or Someone, it says"No results".
